Adult Braces and Orthodontics in Aurora

Painless adult orthodontics in Aurora

A smile can communicate positive energy when meeting someone for the first time.  However, there are many adults who are afraid to smile in public because of teeth that are crooked or have spaces. Chances are strong that they are not aware of the new advancements in cosmetic dentistry.  By looking into adult orthodontics in Aurora, they will find that they can have a great smile without having a mouth full of metal or being in pain.

People often put great thought into their appearance for professional and social reasons, as they want to make a great impression, feel good about themselves, as well as impress others.  While there is nothing wrong with this doing this, wearing the best clothes or having the perfect hair can be offset by teeth that have gaps or are misaligned.  Anyone who looks into adult braces of today will find there are many options that will not interfere with their image.

Then there are those people who simply do not like to visit the dentist.  They may have childhood memories of being in pain or being chastised for not coming in more frequently.  This is common for many adults who want to change their smile but haven’t made time to find someone who cares.  The good news is that there are adultorthodontics in Aurora that have dentists who will ensure as little pain as possible.

Of the recent advancements to take place in orthodontics, Invisalign is one of the most popular teeth straightening devices among adults and teens.  There are no painful wires to deal with, they are custom-made for each individual, and they can’t be seen by most people.  Although results vary from one individual to another, some wearers have these for a shorter time compared to traditional braces.

So what does a person really have to lose? They can only gain a great smile without pain given by a friendly orthodontist who sees children, teens, and adults.

Call Dr. David T. Garlock at (303)627-6212, or visit www.garlockortho.com for a free consultation where options for straighter teeth are discussed and all questions will be answered.  Dr. Garlock and his staff believe in a warm environment where patients can feel comfortable instead of the dread or fear that some associate with going to the dentist.  This continues throughout because he cares about all of his patients and wants to see them smile in public.

Aurora Orthodontist

Hello everyone, I'm David Garlock, I'm the owner and orthodontist of Garlock Orthodontics in Aurora, Colorado. Originally I'm from Oregon and I did all of my undergrad and dental school training there and then moved out to Saint Louis and did my additional training there. All along the way I dragged my wonderful high school sweetheart out there with me, and then we landed here in Colorado! We're loving being here. We've almost been here a year now, and we're very excited about the opportunity we have to be a part of the community here in South East Aurora. We just love living here, we've made a lot of new friends really quickly and we're just excited about being here. We love this area, and I love knowing that I'll be someone that can make a real difference in this community.

At Garlock Orthodontics, my incredible staff and I really pride ourselves in providing not just safe but efficient and comfortable treatments. And by using the latest technology, we're able to provide a high level of care. We provide a wide range of services including everything from Invisalign, to Invisalign Teen, to clear braces, and self ligating brackets. If you're an adult that want's to expedite your treatment, we have orthodontic treatments that stimulate the bone to increase the rate of tooth movement. This is nice because you won't have to come into the office as much.

Another thing we use is something called Temporary Anchorage Devices quite frequently. What that is, just to put in perspective, the old school method is you would have to use headgear to do certain things. Now you can use these Temporary Anchorage Devices. It makes it a little more comfortable, a little less cumbersome, and you don't have to hassle your kids to wear them all the time. So, gone are the days of the gnarly headgear!

When I first got to the area and I saw the practice, and how it was made up, and the way they treated their patients was exactly the same way I wanted to treat my patients. As soon as you walk into the doors here you'll notice the difference. if you've been to other orthodontists, most orthodontists have around 8 to 12 chairs and they're seeing as many patients as they can, as quickly as they can in a single day. Our approach is to be much more personalized by spending a little more time with the patients. This isn't intended to waste your time or anything, but to make you feel comfortable about the treatment you're receiving. I don't see as many patients as most orthodontists and that's by design. This way I can spend time not just building relationships with the kids or the adults or whoever is being treated, but also build a relationship with the family and the parents. That extra time allows me to explain the treatment we're doing, why we're doing it, and where we're headed and to give you an update how the patient is doing. That's what I would want if I was an orthodontic patient, or more importantly if I was bringing my child to an orthodontist.

That's the kind of our overriding philosophy that I preach to my staff and they're fully on board with here, is we want to treat each family, each patient, as if they were our own child or our own mother or father. Having that perspective really helps give us what I feel is outstanding care to our patients.

We offer free initial exams as a service to people who want to come in. If they already know they need braces, we'll let them know how we'll go about treating their problems and educating them about their problems. And if your child is young, and you're not sure if braces are the right thing to do, you can come in for a free exam anyway. If anything you'll have peace of mind that they're doing okay. I look forward to getting to know everyone, and by all means, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to give us a call at 303-627-6212 or visit our website at http://garlockortho.com today!
